Who are the Gold Coast Stars Inline Hockey Club
Gold Coast Inline Hockey Association “Gold Coast Stars” is an inline hockey club located on the border of NSW and QLD, comprising of members from south by Byron, inland to Lismore and North of the border to Southport. We train/play on Monday evenings 5:45 – 7:15 p.m. NSW (4:45 – 6:15 p.m. QLD) at Epic Skate Rink, (which is a fantastic facility) located in Tweed Heads.
Over the years, Gold Coast Stars have achieved incredible success in all age groups and were formerly the strongest club in NSW/QLD. Our vision is to return the club to its former glory, success and strength.
We have an incredible hockey family, who have all come together, embracing new members into our club. We initially provide all the equipment necessary to play safely and the training and skills development needed to reach representative standards.
The club is run by a dedicated group of volunteers with everyone pitching in to help where needed, which makes learning, training and competing possible. We are incredibly fortunate to have our coaches, who are hard-core hockey “lifers” with the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to train our diverse and growing member base from all over the Gold Coast. We’re pretty sure they eat, sleep and breathe hockey, so you know you’re in great hands!!!
Our long-standing players also mentor the newest and youngest players. Being able to have a competitive game with junior ages ranging from 6-16 years old, mixed in with some of our adult amateurs, and seeing the enjoyment on everyone’s faces is just MAGIC and what Gold Coast Stars is all about. These children have developed incredible integrity, sportsmanship and an interminable positive attitude!
